When it comes to the topic of animal rights, most of us will readily agree that animal testing should be abolished. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question whether there are alternative replacements which are proven successful. Whereas some are convinced that animals shouldn’t be used because they’re very different from human beings and the results are not accurate. In my view, I agree that we should eliminate animal testing because the results may be successful on animals but can cause death in humans. However, I can see why many are for animal testing because there have been several case studies where drugs were medically accurate for human consumption. Animals produce different enzymes which can remove certain diseases that humans can’t just like humans produce different enzymes that animals can’t. Animal’s bodies react differently than the body of a human when it comes to certain diseases. There are some diseases in which the animals reaction was the same as a humans which doesn’t necessarily mean every medication given to animals would work the same in a human.
All in all, animal testing should be abolished there is no need to harm animals when there are different procedures in testing medications. With all the technology we have and with all the proof that these other ways to test drugs are safer and have more of an advantage. Also, with studies that prove 92% of the drugs harm human’s severely. So much money going to waist with so many alternatives for testing yet Scientists don’t seem to understand we don’t need animals anymore.
