When I Exhibit Behaviors

When I am happy I exhibit behaviors that are positive to myself and others. The list includes: I’m helpful, I love to spend time with my family and friends, I enjoy doing my homework and studying, I enjoy time to myself to pursue my hobby, I am talkative, and an active listener. Some behaviors that I exhibit when I am sad: I am extremely quiet around friends, family, I can take things too personally, sometimes I am doubtful and/or worrisome, and stubborn. These are three explanations of the behaviors that I display: First, if someone ask for help, I will continue to go out of my way and help them and try to put my emotion to side. This is a service value that is needed in healthcare to patients, their families, and co-works. Having a helpful personality means you are able to respond to the need of your patient and co-worker, have patience and respect for them and demonstrate concern to meeting those needs. It is also important to note that if you cannot care about the people you serve, the healthcare field might not be a good choice of a career. You will be caring for the sick and injured but also interact with their family on a daily basis. Service values means that you are able to put yourself in the shoes of others and empathize with their situation. However, empathy is different than emotional instability. The behavior that does not reflect healthcare values would be my ability not fully accept the opinion and/or feedback from someone (taking things personally). This an excellence value that is not needed in the healthcare field and is an area that I need to approve on. Having a value for excellence means that you take reasonability for yourself. This is an aspect I do not have a problem, for example if I am given an assignment such as complete a weekly forum; I have no problem completing the task that is
