I enjoyed reading your post! I know in this week's videos the speakers talk mainly about flexibility, compassion, and empathy. However, I just wanted to add one more characteristic to the conversation. One of the main prominent characteristic I believe that all human service professionals should have is integrity. I believe if you possess integrity it will go along way in the profession. Integrity is what helps a human service professional to be totally committed to the profession, and the clients that they are dealing with. The Bible declares, "The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity" (Proverbs 11:3).
