I have only been in practice for a year, and I have witnessed many patients and different scenarios where the representation of true compassion, empathy, and forgiveness is well practice by doctors. The doctors in my facility are excellent at collaborating patient care, listening to their patients, and forgiving not only the patient but all the healthcare providers within the facility. Judgments and grudges are not exercised within my facility, and I am grateful for this because it allows for our patients to receive quality care. However, I have been involved with and witnessed a few scenarios where politics has played a role in patient care. Unfortunately, the medical world we live in functions on money and numbers, and these foundations can ultimately influence the type, treatment, and care of a patient.
