9 times out of ten the real conflict is about feelings and not about fact as you can argue about facts all day but everyone has and is entitled to their own feelings.

Provide specific details around the problem including your own observations and valid paperwork as well as information from reliable witnesses if appropriate.

7, Actively listen and have compassion-
Things may not always be as they seem so you need to be ready and open to the persons explanation.
