What To Do When Laptops And Silence Take Your Cafe Analysis

Cafes there everywhere you go. No matter what city or state you go to there will always be a cafe waiting for you to come in and relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or two. They always except you in and treat you right but what happens when all you see is people that are too focused on their laptops or phones in the cafe? Sure I know what people are thinking “why does it matter, cafes are always like that. It is not like it affects the cafe anyway” well believe it or not it does affect them, and it has been a problem for cafes for a while now. In the article “What to Do When Laptops and Silence Take Over Your Cafe?”, written by Karen Stabiner, she proves why it is hard for cafes to deal with wifi. While I agree with Karen Stabiner’s article about the struggles with wifi in cafes, cafes should continue to provide it. Every time I enter a cafe I see people on their laptops or on their phones a lot. Honestly it has never really bothered me that much at all until I read an article called “ What to Do When Laptops and Silence Take Over Your Cafe?”. This article, which was published on February 13, 2018 on The New York Times website, really made me think a lot about what smaller cafes or even just cafes in general and what they have to put up with. Trust me the people who work at the cafe will appreciate you for not wasting there time waiting for you to leave already. In the end only cafes can decide whether they should continue using wifi or not. There opinions might change if people start respecting the wifi privileges
