In the novel Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli the character Maniac Maniac had to show tremendous courage. Maniac is a 11 year old orphan that is homeless. Most of this book takes place in a place Two Mills but the setting is changing repeatedly. Maniac has horrible luck with “parents”, such as his parents died in a train wreck and then when Grayson took Maniac in Grayson died. Another challenge he has to face is Maniac really wants to have an address to put to his name. Although he can’t put an address to his name because he technically doesn't have a “home.” He had to go through everything and he STILL isn’t a complete wreck. I think that my book shows more of an intellectual courage because all the things he has to go through he has to deal
