One is not defined as brave due to their physical capabilities, but by their own mind’s strength. How their mind can be able to uphold tragic events, information, the grueling aspects of life, and still be able to live life with a smile on their face, day in and day out. Being informed of a topic will make us more aware of the signs. An example of these “signs” could be a sign to a child with abusive homes. As in The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls. In the book ,The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls, it discusses multiple issues in society including an inconsistent way of living and paranoia of feeling unsafe in unfamiliar environment. An example of an inconsistent way of living is stated in the book saying, “Later that night, Dad stopped the car out in the middle of the desert, and we slept under the stars. We had no pillows, but Dad said that was part of his plan. He was teaching us to have good posture. The Indians didn’t use pillows, either, he explained, and look how straight they stood.” In this quote Jeannette is explaining one of the skedaddles that has occurred. A “skedaddle” being a term used by Jeannette's father, Rex Walls, in which the Walls family packs up and moves. Discussion about certain topics will be benefitial in the long run.In fiction it gives the reader a sense that their not alone and ahving that in the cirriculum will be helpful in the future fot the reader. In an article explaining the importance of fiction it states, “The feeling that you are feeling, the thing you are going through - it is a known thing.” (Johnson 2011) This quote shows that people are aware of the problem and it isn’t going unnoticed. Given this reassurance will make the reader feel conected to the fictious chatcter and feel connected depending on the the certain situation the novel is dealing with. In addition to the awareness of a problem, fiction will give the author a way to express themselfs through fake situations have have it relate to others. In all reality it is all due to perspective. Another article talking about the benefits of fiction it states, “Multiple studies have shown that imaginig stories help activate reigons of your brain responsible for better understanding others and seeing the world from a new perspective.” (Seiter & more 2015) This says that if we are given the material to read and imagine it will help us develop better and stronger. The importancy of this is ratifying due to, the heaping amount of information in a fictious novel can give us an insight to a unnown world with real problems and difficult scenarios. Overall
