Three real life examples are the story's of Gabby Taylor and Chris Coyne and lots of other people around the world.
15 year old Gabby Taylor was a cheerleader who decided, with her team, to do a stunt by throwing one of them into the air. When the girl landed she landed funny on Gabby. Gabby felt pain but decided to do the stunt a second and third time. At the end of the third time Gabby's arm exploded with excruciating pain all Gabby could do was cry. Chris Coyne started playing football in 5th grade. After the first week he hated it, but kept playing. In 8th grade he caught a pass and that was his starting point. During high school he had gotten five concussions. He for collage was awarded a scholarship to Yale. At Yale he played football and got his 6th concussion ending his football career. Now since he has been teaching young kids the affects of getting a concussion.
The third example is of many people around the world who follow this motto. Such as soccer players who play with torn mussels volleyball players who play with sprained wrists, or basketball players who play with broken fingers of a broken hand.
I do believe that the "No Pain, No Gain" motto attitude is harmful. This can be shown by the 3 examples above. People who follow this motto believe that they can not stop, because this would let down the team. They have no regard for their own personal health. Although other people agree and disagree with me this still happens all around the
