Many people think concussions comes with no effects besides having a headache but concussions come with life-changing effects. “The key to letting the brain recover from the injury; If you do not give the brain enough time to heal it may lead to more long-term effects or even death” (Falotico). One example of a young man's life was changed forever is Tyler Sash. Tyler Sash played for the University of Iowa as a Defence back and drafted in 2012 by the New York Giants. After Tyler Sash was cut from the giants in 2013 he went back to his hometown with his family. According to Sash's mother, Tyler Sash had periods of confusion, memory loss and minor fits of temper. But she blames her son's behavior on prescription drugs he's been taking for a football-related shoulder injury that needed surgery, which he died of the overdose of the pills (Pennington). However, many people would not think football is to blame for this accident. But C.T.E was the cause of these due to multiple blows to the head, during his 16-year career of football. C.T.E is known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, that is caused by blows to the head during contact sports; It was first found in Boxers. During this time the brain deteriorates which causes memory loss, Erratic behaviors,depression and aggression (“What”).Many NFL players shrug off concussions;due to wanting to be able to play the next
