“People see what they want to see and what people want to see never has anything to do with the truth.” This quote gives a straightforward meaning on how people perceive you. No one really focuses on the truth about someone, only what they hear and what is most interesting about that person. Nothing will really outrun the perception of how one looks at another. When people look at me, I think they see a typical teenager who has nothing better to do than party. In this generation, that’s how most adults can look at any teenager because of the way they act now. Party, drink, smoke, and just pass by the rest of their lives. However, that is not how I am or how I was raised. I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. The rest of my family was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. My parents met in high school when my mom moved out to Mesa. They got married and had their first child, me. A few years later, they had my brother and stopped having kids. They were married for twelve years then decided to get a divorce. They did not think I could handle the divorce and going back and forth to the different houses. It was hard at first, but after a couple of years, it got easier. Although, it was weird not seeing them together. My dad raised me to take no bull from anyone and that is what I did.
