Detective Joseph Walker entered the crime scene. This one was a mess. He counted eleven bodies, all of them workers at the Triscott house. The real victim was upstairs though. They entered the master bedroom, and found the body of the city’s mayor, Regina Triscott. Walker began to wrap his mind around the scene, but his thoughts were interrupted by a voice from behind.

They’d never had many issues, but the job had taken its toll. Still, he came from nothing, and her family was loaded. His motive was obvious, money.
Walker strolled into the interview room, and saw a frail man that was genuinely upset. He asked his questions, and by the end of it, he was certain that Mr Triscott wasn’t the killer. Convincing the captain was hard. Ms Triscott’s laptop was missing from the Triscott’s safe room. The safe had an 8-digit passcode, causing all evidence to point towards Mr Triscott.
Joseph Walker was a cocky man, probably too cocky for his own good. He was a serial womaniser and alcoholic. Anybody looking in on his life from the outside would be shocked that his life had yet to spiral out of control. Exiting the station, the lobby was filled with press, all wanting the latest scoop on the murder of Chicago’s mayor. The detective wasn’t having any of it. He pushed through the crowd not saying a word. He was nearly at his car when she appeared. She was stunning.
“Hi there,” Walker said in a slick voice, “can I buy you a drink?”
“Can I get some quotes about the case?” The woman replied back.
