Through handwriting positive and motivational messages on the water cups I deliver which never felt like a burden, as I was aware that by reading these messages helped patients feel optimistic and stay hydrated. These simple gestures resulted in patients and staff looking forward to my visits in the hospital. Thus, I learnt the impact of simple gestures with good intentions.
Conversing with patients and listening to what they share has resulted in patients relieving some of their pain. Patients look forward to my visits and to the time we spend talking to each other. Some of them have told me that my friendly disposition has helped them with their recovery and has made their stay a pleasant one. In return this opportunity helps me to be a humble person and appreciate what I have in life.

The good will of the volunteers I work with is overwhelming as it has touched and bettered the lives of many patients including staff. For example, when dealing with adversity from patients, rather than complain about it, they try to empathize with patients and ensure the betterment of patients.
