Teachers allow students to use their phones to take quizzes through an app called Kahoot, or use them as calculators in math. “Cell phones have become such a big part of a students life now. For example if a teacher writes down notes on the front board of the classroom, a student can capture those notes by snapping a picture of it quickly.” (“Cell Phones Service…”) It is true that students can use their phones for academic and appropriate reasons, but very few students will follow those guidelines. Teachers can’t check to see what students are actually doing on their phones therefore students need strict guidelines and need to know what the consequences are.
Overall, prohibiting students the use of their cellphones in school will benefit both teachers and students. Students wills exceed more in school and stay out of trouble which will create a more advanced and stronger society.
