Phones should be allowed in school because they need to stay in touch with their parents. What if there was an emergency or something happened to them, they need to get in reach with their parents. According to Family Education, “You can be in touch with your children, and know their whereabouts. (The Pew study noted that 48 percent of parents use the phone to monitor their child's location.)” Anyone under 18 should always be allowed to get ahold of their parents at all times. According to Flipd, “Digital devices offer an opportunity to engage students in a new way.” Meaning, that students wouldn't mess up this opportunity of phones in school. They would know that in order to keep this they wouldn’t be able to use it when they are working or the teachers are talking or in the hallways.
