Unit 4 Assignment Powerpoint

This assignment went very nice for everyone in my group. We usually like to meet up to discuss our assignment, but this time we were able to get it all done from at home. We didn’t run into too much of a problem, but when we did we got it all figured out together. Assignment four was interesting to learn about and I benefited from a lot I had to hear from the webinar we watched. Everything went well except for when we went to go watch the webinar. We all went to the link provided for assignment four choice three, but none of us could get the prerecorded video to play on our computers. For me, I had to upgrade QuickTime Player to watch it and once I did that, it still wouldn’t come up on my computer. Fortunately, we were able to find the same …show more content…
When we tried to do that, it didn’t work out too well so we all watched the whole thing and entered in any information we felt should be in our PowerPoint. In the PowerPoint, we divided the slides up by us each adding in two informational slides along with a slide for pictures to also be included. Last time we submitted our PowerPoint for assignment one, we had some grammatical errors so this time we also made sure to go over it thoroughly to double check and errors. For this assignment I contributed to it by watching the video and adding in my three slides just like everyone else in my group. I also went through the PowerPoint once it was completed to check for any errors before it was submitted into the drop box. Alexandra created the PowerPoint and shared it with us all. Both Jovanna and Karina put in their three slides into the PowerPoint as well. I also was the one from in my team to drop our assignment in to the drop box. This assignment taught me a lot about child progression and how they learn. Parents should know more on how their child develops through learning. Most children get their basic fundamentals down by age five and more parents should know what will benefit their children’s growth until that age and even beyond. I enjoyed this assignment and the webinar provided was very informational. My group worked very well together and everyone was able to do their part

Rounding Data When data is gathered and calculated, the final information presented tends to be rounded. On some occasions it may be necessary to round data, especially when rounding non-integer vales to integer values for simplicity and statistical representation. An example of this would be at the end of the calculations in sample weighting, the fractions you get are rounded to integers, since the data is based on physical objects which cannot have fractions, and so is considered extra for rounding purposes. Data may also me rounded in order for it to be understandable if the information is to be presented to other people, or just to keep important digits only to get an idea of scale. Extreme examples of this would be comparing the size of…

Throughout my middle and high school years, I have created many power points. I love creating power points because they are very easy to work with, and I don't have to write big paragraphs or essays. However, it can sometimes be difficult to take a big chunk of information and try to break it down into a few bullet points. Power points are a great tool for teachers and students. In high school, majority of my teachers used power points to teach us.…

Overall, I was extremely happy with the effort my group put into this project. In terms of attending the group meetings, everyone was present and participated in the discussion. The first meeting took place on a Sunday afternoon at Baruch and the second meeting took place on a weeknight in the form of a Google Hangout. The times and places of these meetings alone displayed every group members’ commitment to the project, effort to accommodate for scheduling conflicts, and effort to ensure they are contributing their fair share to the group regardless the time or day of the week. At these meetings, we discussed ways to engage the crowd and critiqued each other’s slides and presentations.…

Human development is a very interesting topic to study as well as becoming more knowledgeable about the many developmental stages in life. What makes it so unique is that each person develops differently in his or her own way. Studying each stage of human development made me more aware of certain things that may or may not occur around that time. After studying the different theories, I can now understand how I developed as a child many years ago. As I go through each discussion about the development throughout my childhood from a cognitive, physical, and emotional psychological point of view.…

Children are also developing intellectual competencies, however it is still important to remember they need parental support. In this stage children have made great leaps in concrete, logical thought. However thinking abstractly and planning into the future is still limited: They can complete today’s homework assignments but need assistance with long term projects (Haight & Taylor, 2013). For instance, children develop a notion of how one goes about learning, and they discover that strategies such as studying and practicing can improve learning and performance. They become more able to retrieve information and use it to solve new problems or cope with new situations.…
