Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that repress neurotransmitters in the brain. Repressing the neurotransmitters in the brain the body responds in a different type of way. The compounds attach to the different neurotransmitters and make your body block out different feelings such as pain. These cannabinoid chemicals are the most important part of the plant in a medical purpose. An scientific journal from leaf science said, Cannabinoids work by interacting with specific receptors. These receptors are located within different parts of the body, such as the central nervous system and immune system.Cannabinoids activate two types of receptors: CB1 receptors, located within the nervous system, the brain and nerve endings, and CB2 receptors, located within the immune system” (Leaf Science 2015). There are more than 100 cannabinoid chemicals that are found in marijuana. Each of the chemicals have a different compound and can each make your body behave in a different ways.
