Now’s the Time to Legalize Medical Marijuana! In society today, there are many ways that a patient can relieve pain. One being going to the local pharmacy and get an over the counter pain reliever or going to their primary care physician and receive a prescription for something a little more stronger. But what about those patients who don’t like all those unknown chemicals in their body or those patients who are just tired of spending millions on medications that the prices are continuing to go up making their prescriptions unpurchaseable. These are the many reasons many are resorting to the option of Medical Marijuana.

Medical marijuana has been used to help with the complications associated with chemo for cancer but also things like pain management, migraines etc. For example, there are two sisters both with the same Medical condition called Chiari Malformation. Both live in states that recognized the use of marijuana for medical and recreational use. Yet the one sister is a military wife and is taking at least 15 pills a day just to be about to live a normal life caring for her family. She is not allowed to use medical marijuana because her husband is federal property per say. Where as the other sister uses medical marijuana to treat her symptoms in the evenings before she goes to bed and is taking no other medications for the illness. How is this right to not allow people to treat their illnesses without fear of being in trouble trying to live a normal life granted this should only be done under your doctor’s
