There’s people who believe in the same sex marriage and there’s people who oppose it. Many people view that marriage should be between a man and woman while others believe that everyone should have the right to marry whomever they love. Gay marriage has a major impact on today’s society’s, its legality and how it will be affected on the generations in the future. Half of America is for gay marriage because they want to see men and men and women and women happy together. It will decrease divorce rates, on average, same-sex couples divorced at an average rate of 1.1 percent annually between the two states, compared with 2 percent annually between heterosexual pairs. (www.huffingtonpost.com). United States has one of the highest divorce rates compared to other countries. Allowing gays/lesbians to get married will increase marriages rates because less couples will get divorced due to disagreements or unproductiveness.

For gay marriage side people see the prohibition as a form of discrimination. I allow gay marriage because I have gay cousins that’s been with their partner for over 10+ years. When I found out, it broke the families heart because my grandma excepts us to have our own relationship with our husbands or wife’s. We all went to church with her and we all grew up catholic so we knew what was right and wrong and we study the marriages to be prepared as we were ready to get married, also we weren’t allowed to have sex until we got married. I feel and understand people are gross from it but I truly believe that its whatever that keeps them happy and help them financially they will be around as much as time they will love there partner to be with them.
