I do not trust people, especially co-workers and supervision. Contrarily, I do retain a much more positive opinion about my subordinates. In addition, the assessment indicated a “preference for informal, humanistic, flexible, and innovative cultures, which are more likely to be found in high-tech companies, small businesses, research units, or advertising agencies.” (Robbins, 2008) After nearly nineteen years in the military, a formal, mechanist organization, I can see why I would prefer something much more organic and flexible. Formal structure coupled with exhausting emotional labor has taken its toll on my personal health and overall career outlook. My analysis and interpretation indicated that I “need to take some action to address your problems.” (Robbins, 2008) Stress in my career has led to emotional burn out. Dealing with, and rebounding from burn out has been challenging to say the least.
