INFP Personality Types

Individuals and their personalities play a very key role in organizational behavior. In order for an organization to function at the highest level of productivity, managers must focus on empowering individuals in order to strengthen the group rather than enforcing autocratic leadership to force the individuals to serve the needs of the group. Managers themselves also need to know their own strengths and weaknesses based on their personality types as well as common strengths and weakness for personality types present in their employees. For instance, a people with an Introversion-iNuition-Feeling-Perception (INFP) personality type might be best motivated for the purpose of serving the well-being of others; however, these same INFP personality …show more content…
This type indicates that my personality exhibits strength of character in regards to stability and assertiveness while simultaneously being good-natured and trustworthy. INFP individuals “are more productive when the effort [invested] reflects some ideal or service;” for instance, by adding some sort of altruistic aspect to otherwise meaningless work, this action can motivate INFP personality types (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002, p. 340). As far as values and attitude insight, I am reserved and creative, a combination which allows for problem-solving and innovativeness. When looking at what motivates me, I found that I am nearly equal within the three needs, namely growth, relatedness, and existence; this score is likely due to my being at a point in my life where I want to increase my skillset, form new social relationships, and find a job within my new community. As far as the decision-making process, I have a high level of faith in people; as I have a creative mind, I am able to look at problems and find innovative ways to solve these. Overall, my personality provides with a firm foundation and my creativeness gives me innovative ways to make sound …show more content…
1). Thus, I believe that understanding individual behavior is important; however, I need to exhibit more strength when dealing with individuals in order to bring them closer together as a well-functioning group. In 1 Corinthians 12:21 NKJV, the Bible describes the members of the church as being members of a body, similarly “the eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I have no need of you’; or again the head to the feet, ‘I have no need of you.’”
There is give and take between the parts of the body. My personality type is Introversion-iNuition-Feeling-Perception (INFP). Possessing this personality type, my own particular strengths are that I focus on the individuals within an organization and emphasize their well-being while my weaknesses relate to not being strong enough of a disciplinarian. The MBTI test results mention that INFP people often feel guilty that they are not doing enough for others. Reading verses within the Bible has taught me that it is not immoral to say “no” at times and to implement discipline. I have struggled to understand that acquiescing to others’ demands is not necessarily altruistic behavior in all cases. In some events, I am simply letting people take advantage of me. Thus, as a Christian, I must turn to the Holy Spirit for direction, exhibiting strength where needed and taking

Every personality type is different in a work environment. ENFPs, like myself are the “inspirers” according to Psychology Junkie. We are very outgoing, gregarious, hedonistic when being motivated by our desires, and we have a certain panache when it comes to connecting with people. The authors of Type Talk, Otto Kroeger and Janet Thueson state that extroverts “think out loud; they clarify their ideas by sharing them with others, refining them as they speak”.…

In reflection, I was able to identify several instances in my life where both grit and a task-oriented personality allowed me to achieve great things. That attitude has become a part of me, and I think that it would be clear in nearly any situation, regardless of what the interviewer’s personality may be. This is where my type is inaccurate in describing me, but however inaccurate some of the data points were, INFJ qualities are, more often than not, shared with me. I agree with a majority of them, including the ability to inspire others, the perfectionistic attitude (for better or worse), an interest in social sciences and humanities, and several other…

INTP are not very social people, they are analytical. They seek to understand why things happen. Sometimes their critical thinking and deep analytical tendencies may make them seem oblivion to what is happening around them. Such character traits may have a significant influence on their career choices and approach to life in general (Humanmetric, 2018). I have taken the test several times.…

I have been able to perform contemplative and thorough self-examinations of my personality in order to determine viable methods to enrich my overall personality. It has been my experience that organizational behavior in many ways are similar to the institutionalized behaviors exhibited by those in orphanages or prisons.
