1 Timothy 4- Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. I have a question for you today, Is your faith in christ sincere?, or have you gotten to a place where you have made this walk a ritual to act as a christian.

I beleive we are in a time where God is calling us to a place of sincerity. Sincerity means the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. We have no time to play as if we believe in God we have to come to a place were in our hearts we know that we know that we know. He said to moses in exodus 3:14 "I AM WHO I AM. Do you believe

As this man did in the bible cry out to GOD!!!!!! Help my unbelief!!!!!! cause if you dont get ahold to that thing the enemy will use that to destory you thats why we have people turning away and becoming atheist and turning to false religion because they did not accpect the convition in their hearts they did not want to hear the Good news they ears itched because the flesh did not want to accept God. Man can only focus on one thing. Even the Bible mentions we cannot love God, love Mammon for either he will hate one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other (Matt. 6:24). Before we same with the world, our conducts, our aim, our behaviour, and focus to enjoying this present life. If we are not preaching Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father; our preaching is not Christian. Some churches and people for whatever reason attempt to eliminate Christ’s presence from their preaching. It is Christ who told us, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” Jesus is in time what God the Father is in eternity. Our preaching is not authentic when we don’t exalt and lift up the name of Jesus in our preaching. We have forgotten that Christ is the one who bleed and died for our sins and the sins of the world.…

I learned that the church today is combated with pride, discrimination, greed, lust, hypocrisy, worldliness, and backbiting. James believed that "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:26), and that our mere profession of faith is not enough. We have to walk by faith and not by sight. I am with the teaching of James and his desires, Christians cannot only hear the truth, but also…

The thing that tells us there has to be something more is imago dei. It puts us on a quest to actually become not less human, but more human. As I think of my own journey, I remember seasons when I was completely sure I was not qualified to lead. My own fault of comparison ate away at me, spreading doubt and a false identity. I began to search where in scripture God tells me I am good enough.…

In First Thessalonians Paul opens up Chapter four with encouraging the Christians of Thessalonica to not follow in the ways of sexual impurity and to continue to live in the ways of the Lord. Humans have always struggled with sexaul impurity and I am imagining that the early Church is no different. Paul is simply offering a word of encouragement to the his brothers and sisters to not forsake their beliefs for a temporary moment to satisfy the needs of the flesh. God is speaking through Paul to tell them to hold fast in their holiness and honor and to not follow the ways of the Gentiles who do not know God. Paul also references that the Church has been warned about what will happen if they disobey the law.…

This is especially important because when we look at modern churches of today, especially in first-world countries, we see a decline of the soteriology that was strong in their theology in premodern times. This may be because many believers may unintentionally compartmentalize their pursuit of knowledge and their pursuit of God. However, Billings is sure that premodern readers understood the most fundamental idea of all: that it is not just about facts and head knowledge, but in order to exegete properly, “it requires a life of prayer and worship before a holy and mysterious God.” (182) In doing so, the Church finds itself drawing nearer to…

Jesus says to “love our enemies, do good to those that hate you, and pray for those which despitefully use you and persecute you.” We are called to encourage people and to pray day and night for their salvation. We cannot push them to do what is right if they do not know Jesus. The Bible explicitly affirms that we desire to do what is right and are restored once we come to know Christ. If we have to sanctify ourselves before we can accept Jesus then why do we need a savior? Therefore, we cannot judge those who have not come to Christ since they have no desire or need to do right.…

In disagreement, it is clear that Anselm is a new Christian because this is what modern Christian's struggle with or complain how they cannot see God so why do they need to seek someone they cannot see with their whole heart. The strength of his argument is Anselm has a point that everybody comes across at one end in their lives that one cannot see God and it is up to this person to put their faith in God. God does want his creation that is us to have a choice in his existence, and he wants us whom he has created to have faith in its presence. For example, in opinion, in Genesis, God knew ahead of time that Adam and Eve were going to eat of that tree that they were not supposed to eat. This reason was that God wants us to have a choice to believe in his existence and he wants us to choose not to sin.…

Scot Mcknight speaks about how Western evangelicals have lost touch with the gospel. He says we’ve reduced the gospel to making a decision for Christ. Mcknight argues that it’s been reduced to a 4 point presentation that’s a surefire way to salvation. Telling people that “God loves them and has a wonderful plan for their life” is one of the most dangerous things you can tell someone. When you assure someone that they’re in God’s love when in reality they are an enemy of God and stand under his judgment, you give them false assurance and validation to live however they want to.…
