As a person of my nature, I’ve always wanted to be apart in helping others for the better. I thought that the health care field would be a perfect direction for my calling and that I will enjoy a future career as being a medical & health service manager, working in a health care facility such as a hospital or nursing home. As I researched the career and the pathway to becoming a medical & health service manager, I noticed a few things that I am already accustomed to and a few things that I should work on along my pathway to success.
For the overview of a medical & health service manager working duties and characteristics of on the job responsibilities, they plan, direct or coordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies or similar organizations. Their responsibilities are to conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting.( They also direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, service, maintenance, and other personnel and maintain communication between governing boards, medical staff, and department heads by attending board meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning.
