Roles and Responsibilities
In keeping children safe and secure

This month we thought we would explain what our practitioners role and responsibilities are in keeping the children safe and secure.
Practitioner Roles Our practitioners are fully qualified in observing the health and safety requirements within the setting. This means observing the following policies:
• Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• EYFS 2014 (2017)
• Food Hygiene 2006
• Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (2002)
• Personal Protective Equipment at Work 1992
• Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981
• RIDDOR 2013
• COSHH 2002
• Health Protection Regulations 2010 All staff are fully first aid trained, which is renewed every 3 years
