The fact that Meadow Hill Hospital is such a large facility with 400 members working there and having to be in charge of 211 beds is a big task. Being one of the leading hospitals should say a lot and having the finances to support its staff and IT department is very clever. The data and software all seems to be up to date and running smoothly in order for the hospital to perform their duties. Having a clear communication with all of the staff including nurses, pharmacy, laboratories, imaging and risk management. As a CIO there are seven attributes that stand out when having a CIO part of the staff. CIO sets vision and strategy by communicating with CFO and CEO in coming to a conclusion on how technology can best serve its purpose in their healthcare setting. Being able to integrate latest technology for better business. Having an understanding of organizations system, structure and function when researching new technologies that will provide the best care that it might need.
