Despite how fast you can send a simple message does not stop the amount of time it takes to put your life in danger. Parents nowadays want their children to contact them whenever and wherever their child is arriving to. Even though texting is of course one of the most deadly causes in human society than any other, we tend to text when something important has come up. In 2011, an estimated 421,000 people were injured in car crashes involving a distracted driver that was texting, this was a nine percent increase from the estimated 387,000 people injured in 2011(Stats and Facts). States have already made laws about texting and driving, but people really do not care what the law is because technology has become a need in everyday life and people cannot live without it. Many people think that texting and driving or even walking slows down the reaction time of the texters but critics say that texters are about the same, maybe even more alert than people driving or walking without using a cell phone.
