There may be some people who don’t take it for granted which is by the outcome that someone they are close to was texting while driving and they got in an accident and died or were just injured very badly. Some people think they are the best drivers and that when they drive nothing will happen because it’s only a couple seconds that they look down at their phone. What they don’t get is that it only takes a second to look down at your phone, swerve to the other side of the road not knowing there is a car coming, and collide with the other car. She won’t get to help them through the hard times of getting older or be in their weddings or even see them every day when she wakes up. Americans are so consumed with their technology that they couldn’t possibly put it down for more than 5 minutes. In an attempt to fix the problem, Ohio has created a law that states if a driver is suspected of texting or using a cellular device, they will be pulled over and fined. While the driver is texting back her mother, she swerves into a lane with another car. The other car had a mom with her three kids in the car as well. At the end of the video the two cars collide, and it is assumed that everyone in the crash was killed.…

For example, if someone is driving through a neighborhood and their phone rings or buzzes, there may be children playing outside. One steps out and gets hit because the driver did not see the child chase his ball into the road. It would be hard to live with hitting a child or anyone because of a text message that could have waited. “49 percent of adults surveyed say they have texted while driving” (Copel), also “more than 4 in 10 teens have admitted to texting and driving” (“Study: Teens Who Text and Drive Take Even More Risks”). I don’t think a teenager or anyone should even look at their phone, unless they are stopped. I have a friend who had a friend that got killed in a car accident.
