Should drivers of automobiles be prohibited from using cellular phones?
Did you know using a cell phone while driving increases the risk of crash by four times? Texting and driving it has caused many accidents and no matter how much people talk about it and still how many times it has happened and there goes another life lost because of people’s carelessness. Recent studies suggest that cell phones are dangerous to use when driving so I have gathered information to look at the epidemic it has caused, negatives and positives.

Even when cell phones are being used more and more nowadays they are also being upgraded and so are cars with hands free devices built in. "Study participants with hands free devices did receive fewer speeding tickets and general traffic citations that those with ordinary cell phones." But they still fail to see the positive in this because they say "The main issue with hands free phones is that they fail to address the true problem surrounding cell phone use while driving: an inability to keep the mind focused on the road." Even though they have enforced laws that have illegalized texting while driving it still does not change the rates of accidents it still causes. With the upgrades of technology that have come in the twenty-first century they can track teenagers, who mostly text and drive, and eliminate it from use while driving instead of wasting time making laws that do not help the problem.
