What were the causes of 9/11 ? 9/11 was one of the most devastating terrorist attacks in the U.S and the rest of the world. There were a couple of things that happened before that caused it to take place. The causes were the U.S getting involved in the Middle East and being allies with Israel. There are also sources suggesting that the U.S knew that the terrorist attack would take place.
The terrorist group that attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon had stated how disgusted by how they were by the way the American government was treating the Palestinians "Your position against Muslims in Palestine is despicable and disgraceful. America has no shame." - Osama bin Laden May 1998. This was said by the AL-QAEDA leader Bin Laden 3 years before the 9/11 took place. This was like a warning to the American government to stop interfering with the Islamic state, Palestine but the government ignored that. It was also a way of telling America to stop supporting their ally Israel to attack Palestine. "We swore that America wouldn 't live in security until we live it truly in Palestine. One being that The U.S ' involvement in the Middle East did not sit well with the terrorist group and they wanted America out of their Islamic states. The other would be its support for Israel which of course raised huge problems because Palestine and Israel were constantly fighting and Palestine was the one that was always defeated and it was an Islamic state, so that angered Al-Qaeda which might have been reason enough to make them attack America.
