In the article “Reasons US Women Have Abortions: Quantitative and Qualitative Perspectives” it states “A Sep. 2005 survey in the peer-reviewed journal Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health asking women why they hand an abortion found that 73% of participants said they could not afford to have a baby, and 38% claimed giving birth would interfere with their education and career goals.” (Finer & Forthwith 13) There are many other reasons as to why women decides not to give birth to a child. When women get abortions, most of the time it is because they are young and unable to raise a child. The most common argument they share is about women who aren’t able to have children and they have to adopt. In the article, Why Do More People Choose Abortion Over Adoption? Kristi Burton Brown stated: “In the USA, there are approximately two million infertile couples waiting to adopt, many times, regardless of the child’s medical problems such as Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, HIV infection or terminally ill.” (Brown, 34) To adopt a baby in the United States it may take until 12-18 months because there are many things that has to get done for someone to get certified as an adoptive parent. While this child is living in the system, nobody knows what actually is going on with the child emotionally. Most people who grow up in the foster care system aren’t really happy with their lives knowing that their parents didn’t want them, overall the child may eventually have a rough life. People who are Pro-Life believe that there are better solutions rather than abortion, the child has a better chance living a happier life rather than just demolishing its chance to live. Another common argument is about people who are Catholic or just religious. In the Catholic Church they teach that all persons have a right to live, from the moment they are conceived until they naturally pass away. According to these beliefs and teachings, a person is alive when it is as young as an embryo until it’s last breath of life before death. Pro-Life activist thinks abortion is morally wrong because overall they are murdering a fetus, which is living, moving and breathing. This is why religious people are so passionate about abortion laws because they obey their ruler God. Beings though the fetus can breathe, they also believe that it can feel pain just as much as we can. According to Stuart W. G. Derbyshire, PhD, he states “fetuses cannot be held to experience pain.
