Health means more than a state of the body: “Taking care of your mental and physical health is just as important as any career or responsibility”. My physical health is something that has always concerned me. As a child, I was an average weight child, I never had any physical problems with my health until I turned 12yrs old. Once I turned 12yrs, I gained so much weight that at age 13 I was weighing 190lbs. When my parents separated I did lost some pounds, but not much. I went from 190lbs to 179lbs. Seven years later, I received a severe pain in my left leg, which was a sciatic nerve pain. My doctor told me I needed to lose weight and move more, in other words exercise. So, I created a plan where I ate every two hours and exercised every day. I went from 179lbs to 147lbs, after accomplishing my goal, I felt proud of my body and my health. Controlling weight is very hard but, “Nobody can do it for you, you have to do it yourself”. It has been one year since I was weighing 147lbs now I am at 159lbs. So I have decided to create a plan to control my weight. However, now I really don’t have time to exercise every day, but I will exercise three times a week. Also, in the mornings I will exercise for about 15 minutes. My goal is to lose at least 5 pounds. So I started a diary where I wrote my status of my wellness plan:
