For the Nutrition tracker, I decided to use the website My Fitness Pal. I used this site because I have already been using it to track my consumption for the last few weeks as I try to increase my overall health. According to the fitness tracker on MFP, I was below on vegetables, fruits and dairy. These can be easily fixed in my opinion, by consuming milk. I plan to drink milk for breakfast multiple times during the week to add more calcium and dairy to my diet. The Next changes are going to be more difficult to make. I do not personally enjoy fruits or vegetables. One solution I read about was the process of juicing vegetables and fruits. I have tried V8 and Naked brand smoothies drink and have enjoyed them. This is one way I can help myself to “meet the target’. This activity was very beneficial when looking at my diet. It really opened my eyes to my lack of fruits and vegetables and made me see how many nutrients I was missing out on. This activity, in addition to showing what I did wrong, also helped me see the path to improvement by just making small changes in my everyday diet. Unfortunately, in order to meet the My Plate guidelines, I need to increase dairy, fruits, and vegetable consumption by large amounts. This might be hard but luckily this diary reflection helped me see an easy way to improve my diet and nutrition
