Going through high school has many difficulties and can be one of the most stressful times in your life. Adding a sport to you plate at this most crucial time could possibly make things ten times harder. You have numerous activities in high school ranging from clubs, teams, services, and certain small groups. Going through one of those activities can help you grow physically, mentally, and emotionally. A well known sport in high is is basketball. Many kids around the globe have their ups and downs in this game has it developed over the years. Life is nothing to play with and goes by extremely fast so why not take advantage of every opportunity? Pursuing a career in professional sports come with things like money and limelight. Can you handle it all? You have to make good decisions at all times. It can all become a little disheartening. You will come in contact with bad people who only mean to bring negativity to you or friends who only want a piece of your fame. Are you prepared for this? Can you handle that kind of stress?
What is stress? According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, it is a state of mental tension and worry caused by problems (or other material objects) in your life, work, etc. (2.) The material object that causes stress in this case is basketball. In my opinion your level of stress from the sport you’re engaged in depends on what type of person you are and how well you are under pressure.
