Introduction After reading Strength Finder 2.0, I took my top five strengths assessment to learn more about myself, others around me. Surprisingly, In Strength Finder 2.0 Rath states, “One big problem is that most people are unaware of, or unable to describe, their own strengths.”(Rath, 2007, pg.13) I feel that I was aware of my personal strengths, however I was unable to describe them. My five strengths in order of most to least dominate are: competition, Strategic, Achiever, Deliberative, and command. Additionally, I must say that the test was extremely thorough, and in my case was positively accurate. Moving forward, I hope to establish greater use of my top five strengths by learning to implement them in my personal and professional life. …show more content…
I have always thought that decision making was something I excelled at. In Strengths finder 2.0, Rath describes deliberative as “Life is something of a minefield. Others can run through it recklessly if they so choose, but you take a different approach. I enjoy spending time alone, it gives me time to think situations through; resulting in superior …show more content…
Rath states “Command leads you to take charge. Unlike some people, you have no problem imposing your view on others.” (Rath, 2007, pg.61) I feel that this particular strength is strongly tied to my strengths of deliberation, strategic, and achiever. This strength may tie to deliberation, in view of the decision making skills. Strategic strength and command are alike due to the fact that they involve thinking ahead and problem solving. I believe that my strategic strength may link to my command strength due to the work ethic needed. My personalized strength insight stated “Instinctively, you probably have exhibited the traits of boldness, assertiveness, and/or self-reliance since childhood.” (Strengths Insight Guide, 2016) This line perfectly explained this strength, I have always been a strong minded person. I like to be in control of any situation, it is a relief to know that I do not rely on others to have everything in

It reminded me of a test given by major companies to a candidate for an available position to see what made you tick or find out if you would steal from them or go postal on the whole company. But to my surprise I actually learned something about myself, things that came natural to me to the point of not really paying any attention to them. According to this assessment my top strength is Strategic which does make sense to me when I started to review the results printed out on my report.…
