My biggest life challenge is speaking up and believing in myself. Growing up, I always played basketball because that’s what my family wanted all us kids to do. I come from a “legacy” of excellent ball players from softball to basketball. Everyone expected my cousins and I to carry on the talent. I had some talent and was decent at basketball, but fell short to my cousins.…
My strong points as a writer is me being emtional and being descriptive on my writing and I try my best to having good information on what I write when I start telling a story or saying my personal experience about anything that’s connecting to anything that I will write about. The emotional part of my writing I had strong points were my reader would get very touched on anything and I think being emotional would be my strongest point from writing an essay and the second would be being descriptive. Depending on what my assignment would be about my strongest points would get me too much in details but I try to be brief about what I’m talking about.…
My fourth strength is strategic, therefore I can easily handle issues or stress that appears suddenly. This allows me to work well with other students on campus and resolving issues on hand as well as, being a group facilitator. For on the spot issues, I stay calm and am able to think in stressful situations, giving me the ability to work well as a role model but a leader for a group of students. For instance, in case of emergencies in the dorms, I will be able to stay calm and work to figure out a way to resolve the unanticipated emergency.…
I feel that a personal strength in this domain is through my skill of practicing relationally. My ability to communicate and relate to my clients through presencing myself has greatly benefited my practice. I enjoy sitting and talking with my clients, as each client is unique. I have come to notice that by spending a little extra time with the client, I am able to develop a deeper connection, allowing the clients to feel more comfortable in their care. Also this particular strength has allowed me, as a student nurse, to improve client outcomes, as the clients are more willing to participate in the tasks at hand within the established and trusting environment.…

With everyone’s strengths in mind, I became more confident in my plan. I grab the large blanket from the garage cabinet and pack everything I believe we will need for this long, never-ending journey. With the blanket full, I borrow several burlap sacks from our landscape company truck to finish the packing of tools and plants that last through the trip such as our rosemary bush, aloe vera plant, and the seeds from the fruits and vegetables from the garden. With the last burlap sack, I gently filled it as much I could with the ripe fruits and vegetables. The risk of a neighbor seeing me only increased my adrenaline rush.…
My top five strengths are: analytical, relator, discipline, individualization, and harmony. I feel like the StrengthsFinder Assessment hit the nail on the head with these as I can see most of them in my life nearly everyday. Firstly, I see the analytical strength come up a lot in my life. I often weigh the information and data to find the best course of action.…

One personal challenge I've endured occurred when my brother and father were placed in mental hospitals. As my first year of high school came to a close, both my brother and father wound up in mental hospitals within the same month. A domino effect, my brother first and my father not long behind. My brother was in his last year of high school, one day during class something switched off in his head. The reasoning behind it remains a mystery even to him.…
Rasheed Patrick Milliner EES21QH-01 10/6/16 College Prompt I believe anyone can make a weakness a strength. My weaknesses are math and science. I was a D student freshman year and worked my way up to a C+. I'm not proud of being a C+ student but also happy that I'm not a F student.…
I believe that there are numerous qualities that make me who I am today, but above all my ability to set goals for myself and persistence in achieving them has been something I am very proud of, along with at the same time shaping some of my other qualities. My persistence has given me the chance to succeed where others have quit when confronted with challenges and difficulties. Failure can be discouraging, but with failure one can learn and improve oneself in a way that can’t simply be taught. When I was twelve I ran for my grammar school track team I decided that I wanted to run a half marathon. My coach and my dad discouraged me because of my age.…

I am not the best at remembering about my childhood, but the events that stick out to me are probably the most important that helped to shape me into the person I am to this day. First of, I took my first steps at about nine months old and my first word was “mama” at six months old. I grew up with four siblings, me being the smallest and, I was distant from my brothers and sister because they were years apart from me. I grew up in a Hispanic household, and my parents were very loving and restrictive. When I entered pre-kinder, I was a very shy child and would not even be able to stand up in front of the class and sing along to the ABC's.…
