Stereotypes Concerning Nike's Advertising

It's like a smoke in the mirror or a string that pulls us closer, and closer every time our minds tries to escape the magnitude of advertisements placed upon us. Therefore, I sat in the dark corners of my room and asked myself, are our minds ever going to find peace and tranquility to think on its own as long as these ads are embedded within us? From the very instant we open our eyes in the morning, these advertisement’s start to find their ways in our brains, “at the rate of about three thousand marketing messages per day (Hype)”. While most of the advertisements that we take notice of have a certain quality to impress us; however, some of these qualities manipulates us into consuming these products that we don’t necessary need.

Certainly, this ad is not only promoting Nike, but Adrian Peterson as a great player as well. It is in fact, the heroes themselves who are drawing the consumer’s eyes and minds into what is being, advertised. Therefore, no matter where the fans are in the world, Nike touches those fans by honoring their respective icons. As a matter of fact, Nike isn’t the trigger of our decision making, but because we are keen to our icons and admire them. We’re forced to dig into our pockets and spend a surplus amount of money on the product. This generation shadows a great example of fans representing their icons. How many of us are suited and booted in a Nike, Jordan, Sean John, Aeropostale?, almost everybody. However, as Professor Ghignone stated, “ we consumers walk around this planet as unpaid advertisers.” We still continue to be.
The very last detail that makes the ad appealing is its background. the spooky night background informs the buyer that with Nike, no matter how bad the condition is, you could overcome any obstacle. Nevertheless, Nike’s mission has always been known for bring inspiration and innovation to everybody, athlete or not. It inspires us by turning our weaknesses into our strength. Essentially, so many of us are afraid of the night; however, with a motivational company like Nike, we learn to not be afraid of those spooky
