My sixth grade school year was by far the best I have ever had. I had so much fun and got introduced to so many new people after moving around to many different schools around the area. Although I had many great teachers before one really made me enjoy school much more. That teacher , Ms. Avila, is my favorite teacher because she is the reason why I love school til this day. She not only made school as fun as can be , but also taught in an astonishing way that motivated me to do my work and become as great as I can be which is how every student should be. I am so glad my sixth grade teacher loved her job and kids as much as she does and for that , she made everything fun. During class , even while learning , we always had fun and laughed which was essential to my love for school. Learning while in her class was so fun that at times it …show more content…
I hate homework with a passion and Ms. Avila motivated me to do it by giving me many reasons to do so. She did this by using prizes to make us want to participate and do our homework more often. She couldn’t do this forever so at the end of the school year she told me something I would never forget, and it was that the more work I put in the closer I would get to where ever I wanted. She knew I wanted to be an NBA player one day so she used that to motivate me to keep pushing and never give up. My sixth grade year was the best year I would never forget. That year is the year that tells me even today to push even when you don’t want to. Many students need to be motivated in some way whether by a teacher or parent, as long as they learn to do their work. Even if they procrastinate like I did a couple hours ago, as long as they do it. This is how I was motivated and is how my future kids will be motivated. This is how I think future education should be done to make every student as greatest can

Educational Autobiography Have you ever wondered where you would be today if you did not have the education you’ve had along the way? Throughout my years my motivation has stemmed from not only my parents, family and my teachers but it has come from within myself too. I strongly believe that praise and reward can help a student who is struggling or help them with their weaknesses. Carol Dweck in “Brainology” states that a growth mindset person has better odds of becoming who they want to be in life and that their intelligence will take them far (Dweck 1).…

The best college students learn very quickly that the best thing that they can do is never give up, discover something new every day, work with the community as best as they can and show great respect for the learning community. They also learn that service to the community is essential and they do this by helping others and making them stronger learners. Although Bain’s book does a very good job of explaining all of these values, the one that stands out to me is that of discovery. Discovery stands out because in order to learn you must find/discover something new every day in order to be the best learner that you can be. Stories that Exemplify Discovery…

As an only child growing up in Clarence, Iowa, I at most times found myself playing alone in my backyard or sitting in front of my television, watching whatever we had on VCR. DVD players had already been out for years at that time, but with my father working as a mechanic in some random guy's garage, we could not afford to buy a DVD player. I had to resort to VHS tapes, but at least my mother would take me to the used game store(which also sold VHS tapes and DVDs)every once in a while. I became addicted to owning VHS tapes, even as a six year old boy and honestly, I still am to this day. My favorites were the movies from Tim Burton and the Disney films were my absolute favorites; I just could not get enough of Toy Story and The Lion King.…

Although every grade level deems difficult, I believe that 9th grade is the hardest grade because of the grueling effects of low self-esteem, pressure and worry that every student must bear among the already heavy load of their school frets during freshman year. To begin with, low self-esteem can truly deprive a student’s drive to excel in the future. I think this because occasionally, when a student is held back a grade during their first year, they can suffer from a sort of mental inhibition, and feel as if they are an outcast stranded in a see of anonymous strangers. Therefore, that student could feel as if they are unwelcome and decide that it’s better off if they just drop out instead of dealing with the uncertainty of a different crowd.…

During the first semester in my freshman year in high school, I never knew school club’s existed. All I knew was how to get to school and get as much experience as I could and return home. I did not have anybody telling me to join any school clubs or get good grades because I did not have an older brother or sister like other kids do. It was a terrible feeling of not having someone who can talk to you or inspire you to participate in school clubs but that all changed when second semester arrived. When second semester arrived, I made some friends, friends who tell me to join school clubs so my resume can look as good as a professional.…

Every single one of them is rushing to get to their classes when the bell rings, you thought 6-8 graders would be separated by schedules, you guessed wrong. Adults and pupils are debating whether 6th grade should be in middle school or should not be in middle school.
