8th Grade 11 Year Research Paper

I’ve been in school for about 11 years, every year is different, but yet the same. Because we are at the same school for years, it’s the same people, same school, and same everyday routine. Some years are better than others, but the overall best year that I’ve experienced is or was, 8th grade. The fun field trips to places, High School acceptance, and it’s the last year of middle school.
For starters, in eighth grade we took fun field trips to celebrate the last year that we’ll be in eighth grade. In other words, we went on fun, non educational field trips to commemorate our last year of middle school. The school would organize special field trips for our class to go to on like going to an arcade or an amusement park. For example, we went to Six Flag for our big eight grade field trip. It was so fun to ride the roller coasters and play games with our friends, or when we went to Dave And Busters. I loved that we went on these trips with our friends because we might not ever see again once we graduate.

To clarify, this year I got accepted to the high school that I always talked about attending since I was little, Lane Tech College Prep High School. All of us have worked so hard to get into our dream school, so when most of us got accepted to the high schools of our choice we were ecstatic. For example, When I got in my house I saw that I had received a couple of letters, one in specific was from Lane Tech. I immediately open it and read that I got accepted into my dream school, ran around the house screaming because I was so happy. Another example, was once we came back to school after everyone got their letter, they were jumping with joy that they got into the school they

As an only child growing up in Clarence, Iowa, I at most times found myself playing alone in my backyard or sitting in front of my television, watching whatever we had on VCR. DVD players had already been out for years at that time, but with my father working as a mechanic in some random guy's garage, we could not afford to buy a DVD player. I had to resort to VHS tapes, but at least my mother would take me to the used game store(which also sold VHS tapes and DVDs)every once in a while. I became addicted to owning VHS tapes, even as a six year old boy and honestly, I still am to this day. My favorites were the movies from Tim Burton and the Disney films were my absolute favorites; I just could not get enough of Toy Story and The Lion King.…

Hear is what I learned about all of this and more in sixth grade. Having a locker was hard, but fun lucky for me my combination was easy, but the really hard part was remembering where it was.…

What was the beginning of your first year in the seventh grade like? This year for every seventh grader means new teachers and new rules. It can also mean meeting different students and friends and potentially not getting to see your friends from last year as much. It could also mean figuring out what you might want to change about your studying skills or wanting to improve something else. Second grade was back with Mrs. Crawford again. This was another excellent year because she was the teacher that got to teach us phonics, yes we waited until second grade to really delve into the world of phonics rather than kindergarten like the do now. Also, second grade is where we really started getting science and social studies for the first time.…

Sophomore year is a tie with junior year on being probably the most enjoyable years in high school. Tenth grade was so relaxing because you at least had one year under your sleeve, which made life a little easier. One of my most memorable moments was second semester in Mr. Prina’s class when we played the Super Power game. This game really tested friendships and classmates trust in eachother. My group did really well, but the amount of work we put into some of the little games and activities was tiring and took a lot of hard work.…
