One side is for assisted suicide, compassion for the dying and those suffering a strong reason for their support. While other people are against it, their belief sometimes being its playing god or that it 's just plain wrong to kill someone, no matter the circumstance. Physician-assisted suicide is not killing someone out of malice, it’s a way to painlessly end the suffering for someone out of compassion. Physician-assisted suicide should be legal in every state because the terminally ill should be able to end their own suffering.
Terminally ill patients that have no chance of surviving are having their suffering prolonged because assisted suicide is illegal. They live in pain as their life slowly fades away, living in agony until their inevitable death. Why should they not be able to end it if they are consenting? The right to assisted suicide is the right that anyone has, be it young or elderly. It’s a right that you 're born with.
