“I do not want to have this baby. What am I going to do?”. There comes a time in a woman’s life when she may be unsure about whether she wants to go through with the pregnancy. The very thought of having to bear a child for nine long months could have the woman feeling overwhelmed. When a woman feels anxious, overwhelmed or unsure about having a baby there is one protected and legal option that she can turn to. Abortion. Abortion is the deliberate termination of a pregnancy and often it happens within the first trimester of the pregnancy. In the famous Roe v Wade court case the Supreme Court made abortion legal in all 50 states once they realized that a woman has a right to privacy. Even though abortion is legal in all 50 states there are other states that have certain restrictions on women having abortions. With such restrictions on women getting abortions it can only hinder the woman’s decision on wanting to get an abortion. Sometimes a woman getting an abortion is the only option that she has. There are many reasons why women have abortions. A woman could have an abortion because of birth control failure, rape or incest, financial instability or because she isn’t ready to have a child yet. Whatever the reason maybe a woman should always have the right to get an abortion with no questions asked.
