Tutoring Tips Application Plan
At my next shift, I intend to implement the following plan for a successful session:
I am going to introduce myself to the students because this moment can break the iceberg and makes the students feel welcome and more comfortable with me. Also, I am going to spend one more minute to get to know the student a bit (his/ her classes, native language, and so on).
I am going to ask the student how I can help him/ her, and then we read together the assignment sheet to understand the teacher's instructions. Furthermore, we are going to set some reasonable goals together.( no more than 1-2 aspects). For instance, if the "subject-verb agreement" creates you problems, we can successfully solve this issue.

Learning to write When I attended elementary school, part of the curriculum was penmanship. There was a certain segment of instruction dedicated to penmanship rather than writing. We were given large sheets of oat colored paper with three parallel lines widely spaced. The alphabets were used to print and write in cursive using the midpoint, and upper lines for capital letters. The handwriting grades were based on neatness and readability.…

To me, writing is just ok, nothing special. It definitely isn’t something I get excited about. My first formal writing class was in 6th grade, where we followed The Institute for Excellence in Writing’s curriculum. My fellow classmates and I mainly wrote short, 1-3 paragraph reports on various historical topics. I did well in these classes, I just never really enjoyed the process of writing.…

I was left pondering one day after a pastor concluded his sermon with “if you can help one person then your life isn’t in vain”. That remark hit me deeply as in my darkest days I have often questioned the purpose of life and it was in that moment that I received my answer, an answer revolving around altruism. Although we are often taught that in order to find happiness we must look within, the reality may be that to find true happiness we must look outside of ourselves to the next person whose situation is similar, or more dire than our own that we can help. Therefore, I now believe that the path to self-actualization is simply transcending into a form of support for others so that they can better support themselves. Studying racial and social…

I would first like to thank you for taking the time to read through my writing evaluation for this past semester. Secondly, I would like to ask if you have ever watched a little league soccer game. Has it ever been one of your own young family members? On each team, there is typically at least one child who is very athletic for his or her age and tends to make the most shots compared to all of the other young children just running around the field. While this child may be the best on the team, or even in the entire league, he or she is still just a young player and has much to improve on before he or she is ready to compete in the big leagues.…

Throughout this semester of English 101, writing has become more of a skill than a struggle. Writing was a challenge that I dreaded when I chose to be in the course, nonetheless with time, I learned from my mistakes and was able to improve. This course made me very doubtful on whether I could be capable of even writing a paper that would provide me with a decent grade, but at the same time made me push myself in my writing technique. In the end, I can reflect that I learned from my mistakes and wrote papers that took time and dedication to accomplish. I learned from this class to be confident in my writing and make all the mistakes to receive the grade I want in the end.…

English 2010 has been a learning experience for me, I've been able to learn a lot about english that I did not know or work on before. With the first essay that we worked on I did a memoir I really enjoyed working on this paper, In class we were able to get freedom to add pictures to are pictures make it a little bit more creative I certainly was not used to this; I’ve been told my whole schooling experience that you have the intro and the conclusion and three body paragraphs. The memoir I was able to write to what I felt like I needed it to be, add pictures so it could appeal more to the eye when reading and also made it easier.…

After developing an introduction it is time to get to the main aspect of lesson planning, the learning activities. This is how a teacher presents the information and explains it to his or her class. It is important for teachers to plan multiple ways of explaining each topic in case the students are having difficulty grasping the information. The next is developing a way to test the students understanding whether it be asking them simple questions at the end of a lecture or creating an assignment for them to do. The last step to developing a lesson plan guideline is creating a conclusion and a preview for the next lesson.…
