Before introducing the topic, I would like to set the context by sharing an instance which made me somehow conscious of how important it is to be happy and content with one’s job and hence one’s professional life.
It was my first day at Infosys Ltd., I joined as a trainee at the World’s largest corporate training centre. We were seated at a 1000 capacity multiplex hall for our 3 day induction program. This is where I came across one of the best speakers so far. She was Mrs Preet Kushalappa from the department of Human resources. Those 3 days of Induction program came alive with her sessions and we were all zapped at her flawless public speaking skills and leadership acumen as she impeccably monitored close to 900 trainees. Affective job satisfaction represents an emotional feeling individuals have about their job. Therefore, affective job satisfaction in personalities reveals the degree of pleasure or delight at their job. Cognitive job satisfaction is a more objective and logical evaluation of various facets of a job. Cognitive job satisfaction measures the various facets of jobs viz. remuneration or allowances. Cognitive job satisfaction does not gage the degree of pleasure or contentment that arises from specific job facets, but rather measures on what scale the job holder is satisfied. Job satisfaction can also be perceived inside the broader context of the scope of subjects that alter an individual's experience of work, or their quality of working life. Job satisfaction can be understood in words of its connections alongside supplementary key factors, such as finished well-being, stress at work, manipulation at work, home-work interface, and working conditions. Job satisfaction can be affected by a person's skill to finished needed tasks, the level of contact in an association, and the method association treats employees. It isn't always facile to compute job satisfaction as the meaning of satisfaction can be disparate for disparate people.
