Introduction These last eight months I have been working at the Haskayne School of Business Career Centre. This Centre caters to all Haskayne students and recent alumni for this resume, career advice and networking opportunities. The goal of the Career Centre is to provide services that power connections between employers, students and alumni, the centre is an employers connection to 3,000 Haskayne BComm and MBA students and over 21,000 alumni in 70 countries. My role is to assist with external communication projects such as event planning, employer relationships, writing, social media and marketing. These tasks require me to be firmly intergraded into the organization’s inner workings so that I can assist all my co-worker’s needs as well as help the …show more content…
Both my Application of Technology and Creative Production interests peered into the creation of my social media posts for the Centre as well as the posters promoting the services of the Career Centre. Whenever I was given a task that required my tech knowledge I would complete that task first and to fair exceed their expectations.
Motivators
For the motivators in Career Leaders my top 3 motivators tied at a rating of 10 so I had a top three to pick from. During my work term at the Career Centre my motivator of affiliation and prestige were satisfy as I worked with a great group of individuals and got to be introduced to a wide range of employers for future job hunts. For the prestige I was able to meet everyone that works at the Haskayne School of Business where I attend for school which has made my club duties easier and building through connects helps with task I have throughout my degree. Because this was a building job it did not fill my need of financial gain as I chose it for the benefits mentioned above not the financial gains.
