Reflective Essay: Achieving A Degree In College

In this first year of college I have learned a few things that I didn’t even expect to have. I have defined personally what the degree I want means to me. I also have learned what the degree means for me professionally. With some assistance I have learned what I need to do in order to achieve success in school. I have learned strategies needed to achieve my goals academically and personally. I learned all this information and am learning to apply it to my life in a positive way.

Having lived in a small town most of my life and I have learned a lot of things to get to where I am now. I learned what I needed to just get through the year and now I am learning something that will help me achieve my dream. Getting a degree in Automotive and High Performance technology will be very important to me because I will have proved to myself that I can commit to something that will help me get a career. So receiving a degree in the field I want to go into in the amount of time that the university estimates will show that I have the initiative to work without slowing down and have the knowledge to work with the best in the industry. I will have the skills and knowledge of how to work in the field and the only thing left is having the connections to get a job in the field. I can achieve my dreams of a career in the High Performance or Racing Industry, but I will need to change a few things that I do in and around school
