Pro-choice is an issue that is fought over and discussed on a daily basis in today’s world. Many people get confused between pro-choice and pro-abortion and think that they mean the same thing, but they do not. In fact, the pro-choice movement does not support abortion over birth, but defends women’s rights to make their own decisions. They think the decision of abortion should be privately made by the woman and her doctor. The pro-choice movement also supports contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancies, reducing abortion, educating women and youth, and making sure families have the resources to raise a healthy child. Pro-choice is also described as Liberals. They think a fetus does not become a person until birth, so the woman can do whatever she wants with her body. On the other hand, pro-life is also described as Conservatives, where they believe abortion is murder because human life starts at conception. Pro-choice is important for many reasons. Some families or single mothers might not be able to afford a baby, so getting an abortion would be the right thing to do. In the book, some mothers stork their baby which is close to abortion, but is possibly giving the child a better chance at life than the mother could give. Another reason pro-choice is important is because a woman could be too young and not have the experience it takes to be a mother. 52% of women getting an abortion are under 25, 19% are under 19 years old and 23% are between 20-25 years of age, which…
