First off, I’ll need to get volunteer hours and learn through volunteering. At GCU, they offer an internship-like class that’s called practicum, so it would more than likely be beneficial to participate through it. Another step I will have to take is to get involved with my professors and peers because the more people you know the more opportunities you have. One of the main things I learned at my College Kick-Off Event was that if you have connections, it will be easier to find and keep a job. Lastly, I will need to excel in my schooling and get the most out of it because I know that what I learn can help people and I can make a difference in others’ lives. I know that with this career, many people can get depressed and overwhelmed with situations and I think it’s important to cast your cares to G-d. Especially in counselling and therapy, it’s best to love and care for people just like G-d did. G-d gave His one and only son to die for us and He did this because of His love for us. Throughout my career, I will try to my hardest to treat patients with compassion and pray for them every day. I am pursuing this career because I want to help people have a better and healthier life and I think that trusting the Lord through it will help me make that
