My expectations for Freshmen Comp were very high coming into this class judged by what I had heard from other students in last semester’s class.* I have already learned about metacognition, a word that I had never heard before in my life. It is the part of the writing process in which I think about what I am writing and how I am writing it. As I said earlier, I expect this class to challenge me and push me to write in a style I have only dabbled in a few times. Learning the four major topics we are focusing on has me excited to start writing. The goal I have while writing these papers is that I will become a more intelligent and thoughtful writer. While I am excited about writing I know this class is going to challenge me in ways I have not
