My personal leadership philosophy is that I prefer to be in charge of a situation, except if there is someone more qualified than me to lead. Then, I will allow that person to lead. The reason for this is by being in charge, I am able to have a deeper understanding of the project and the people involved and I can ensure that all aspects of what is being accomplished is completed thoroughly and correctly; in other words, I prefer to lead because I can hold everyone to a higher standard, which will result in a better outcome. However, in the case that someone is more qualified than me to lead an aspect of the project, or the project as a whole, due to greater experience or knowledge, then that person can lead instead for the sake of completing the project with a higher quality. In this way, my leadership style can best be described as authoritarian, although I would prefer to be a more democratic style leader in the future.…
