A) Summarizing Carl Jung’s theory
Carl Jung was one of the first people to describe introversion and extraversion in a psychological context. In Jung’s Psychological Types, he theorizes that each disposition falls into one of two categories, the introvert, and the extrovert. The introvert is focused on the internal world of reflection, dreaming, and vision. Thoughtful and insightful, the introvert can sometimes be uninterested in joining the activities of others. I noticed that that being an INFP personality type has its pros and cons. One of the weaknesses that I have at work is my social anxiety. I work at a bank so I deal with hundreds of people on a daily basis. As an INFP personality type, quite honestly, it's uncomfortable. I do it, I perform well on my job but I don't like it. I do a great job hiding the hesitation but it's still here. I have to try really hard to appear extroverted because I'm a manager. I love my job but I prefer to have a corner office meeting with clients one on one. I don't particularly like facilitating meetings or dealing with the …show more content…

My plan on utilizing my strengths and weaknesses are simple. Someone told me that in order to get better at something, you must do it over and over again. "Practice makes perfect". This is true to a certain degree. Everyone will not excel at everything they attempt. Everything is not meant for everyone. I'm not a great public speaker therefore, I will not speak publicly on the regular. I'll do it when necessary but if I don't have to, I won't. I can use my time and energy on other things.
What I will do regarding my weakness, is share them. I will be vulnerable to a certain degree. I will share my downfalls and my fault. I will let people know that I am nervousness. I'll try to slow down when speaking so I can minimize stuttering when speaking. Maybe my openness can help someone else like me.
I plan on highlighting my strengths. I had to realize that nothing is wrong with me. I'm not crazy or strange. I'm simply quiet. For the most part, my life is quiet, reflective, and emphasizes things that are nurturing like taking care of myself by regularly exercising, eating well, and reading about things that interest
