As you know, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to stand out and be successful in the professional world. Prestigious internships and jobs are highly competitive, and even some of the most qualified people do not get them. Being able to recognize my strengths will help me to become better at anything I choose to do and achieve my goals. It is necessary that I develop my strengths so I can stand out amongst my peers and excel as an investment banker. According to the Strengths Finder assessment, my top five strengths are the following: communication, achiever, discipline, “winning over others” and significance.

One of my top strengths is "achiever", which addresses my strong work ethic and my satisfaction in completing tasks. Not only am I hardworking, but I am competitive and strive to outperform my peers. To develop my ambition this semester, I am going to make study timelines for each of my exams and work to earn a ninety or above. Also, I am going to complete any extra credit opportunities by the end of November. First, I excel in winning over others. I love to meet new people and make lasting connections. In the business world, relationships are critical because people must like and trust you to do deals with you. Not only do I value relationships, but I enjoy proving myself to others. According to the Strengths Finder assessment, my ability to communicate goes together with winning over others because it makes me a strong debater. I am going to develop this strength by talking to my father every Sunday evening about current events and proving my opinions to him.
